Our mission as the Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre is to work together to:

  • Build a healthier First Nation Community and,
  • Optimize individual health and wellness

•  Build relationships within and outside of our community to enhance programs and services for our people.

Our Programs and Services will be:

•  Delivered in a professional manner in accordance with;

•  Mandatory regulations/legislation

•  Program guidelines

•  Funding restraints

•  Scopes of practice including research, professional standards and current practices.

Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre has a multitude of strengths to help achieve the desired vision. The community health plan relies on the following assets:

Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre has a dedicated, flexible, knowledgeable, accessible and creative work staff.

  • Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre works with community members, organizations and various sectors within and outside of the community.
  • Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre reflects the values of the First Nation culture through it's people-centered focus, strong family values and community pride.
  • Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre is viewed as a community centre role model for other First Nation communities as well as for funding agencies.
  • Garden River First Nation Wellness Centre boasts a desirable environment in a prime location with facilities, technology and secured five year funding.
