Job Development Programs and Services

To provide opportunities for unemployed workers to maintain and develop skills in order to re-enter the labour market. At the same time encouraging community development.

Eligible Sponsors:

Unemployed workers who qualify under the EI Act.

The project can last up to a maximum of 52 weeks.

• Employment insurance or enhanced top up to maximum EI rate to current wage rate while on project, employer may top up to prevailing wage rate
• EI Top-up to maximum EI rate of prevailing wage rate for EI exhaustee clients
• Negotiated WCB or Private Insurance Coverage costs
• Necessary overhead costs to be negotiated
• Necessary capital costs to be negotiated
