Job Development Programs and Services

Provides training and work experience to unemployed participants who are facing barriers in order to obtain full time employment. This enables participants to gain valuable knowledge and skills necessary to enter into the labour force.

For profit businesses, non-profit organizations, First Nation band councils, municipal governments, health and educational institutions.

Unemployed individuals facing employment barriers.

Projects may last up to a maximum of 26 weeks.

• Negotiated wage subsidy up to 75% of wage rate or maximum $9.00/hr/40/week
• Funding approval for non-profit organizations 100% of maximum
• A negotiated contribution towards the employers share of mandatory related costs
• Necessary training costs to be negotiated
• Necessary overhead costs to be negotiated
