Positive Cases of COVID-19

On September 21st, 2021, the Garden River First Nation was advised of three (3) additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 associated with three (3) persons who reside in the Community. The confirmed cases are self-isolating and all close contacts have been notified. In light of these recent cases, all GRFN administered businesses and departments will remain at Step 2 of the GRFN Re-Opening Plan with increased safety measures in place for all employees, clients, customers and staff.

Additionally, effective today, September 22nd, 2021, Proof of Vaccination is required under Schedule 1, Section 2.1 of the Re-Opening Ontario Act, O. Reg. 364/20. The Proof of Vaccination specifically applies to patrons who enter an area of the premises of the business or organization identified as part of the legislature. Only those businesses identified shall require patrons to provide proof of identification and of being fully vaccinated. All parts of the Re-Opening Ontario Act continue to apply on the GRFN.
